Ditto 15 members will receive a collection of the writing of multiple-Hugo-nominee Taral Wayne. Included is the unpublished "Scenic Rout." The collection's title is Taralable Fan Writing. Taral unfortunately is best known as an artist, unfortunately because Taral is at least as fine a writer as he is an artist.

Ditto returns to Toronto in 2002.

Ditto, the 15th annual gathering of SF fanzine fans, returns to the city of its 1988 founding.

When?

The weekend of October 18-19-20, 2002.

Where?

Days Inn Toronto Downtown, 30 Carlton Street, Toronto, Ontario. Canada, next door to Maple Leaf Gardens. To the north is SF book store Bakka Books, in business since 1972. South is the World's Biggest Book Store and the Eaton's Centre. West is the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation and Fantasy.

Why?

Murray Moore, Catherine Crockett, Lloyd and Yvonne Penney, Colin Hinz, Mike Glicksohn, Taral, Jim Caughran, and the rest of the Toronto area fanzine fans think 2002 is a good year for fans to (re)discover Canada's largest city, and one of the oldest centres of Canadian written fanac. You can also get a head start on the 61st WorldCon, Torcon 3, happening on the 2003 Labour Day weekend.

How?

Arrive by the mode of transportation most convenient for you. The hotel is four subway stops from Union Station, which is served by interurban (Amtrak/Via Rail) and commuter rail lines. For air travelers, there are shuttle bus and public transit connections to both Pearson International Airport and the Toronto Island Airport. The hotel has underground parking. Bus?: the Toronto bus station is near the World's Biggest Book Store. If you prefer to arrive by ship, Toronto still has a working harbour.

How Much?

Attending memberships are $45 Canadian, or $30 U.S. Supporting memberships are $10 Canadian, or $10 U.S. Make cheques payable to Ditto 15 and mail to Murray Moore, 1065 Henley Road, Mississauga, ON, L4Y 1C8, CANADA. U.S. dollar cheques are fine.

Hotel rates are CDN$109 for single/double, with an additional $15 for each additional person.
